Ricefield Radio is now Live.
News, weather, info and great music.
We are pleased to announce that along with our sister stations ChiangMaiNewsNet and ChiangRaiNewsNet we have teamed up to start a new venture RiceField Internet Radio. The Lanna Kingdom meant “Land of a million rice fields", so we thought that was an appropriate name.
Although just in the testing stage we have out website online and you can download our test pieces if you wish. We are not sure of the exact timing for the station to go online but initially it will be just English Language news and weather for the area. We also have a page that links important RSS feeds for easy access.
Since some of our URL’s have changed since the server upgrade I thought it may be a good idea to setup an entrty page. This page has links to all of our websites on it and then redirects to this site.

Views of Thailand and Canada from different Cultures. Luk and I (Marty) married a few years ago and we are now bloging about our view of the others Country, lifestyle and culture.
The Kingdom of Thailand draws more visitors than any other country in southeast Asia with its irresistible combination of breathtaking natural beauty, inspiring temples, renowned hospitality, robust cuisine and ruins of fabulous ancient kingdoms.
It’s hard not to be moved by the people and the areas. I love the North around Chiang Mai, Chiang rai and Phayao. Luk owned a house in Phayao when we met, so when we were married we became Land Barons on 2 continents
We are living in a small town on the West coast of Canada at the moment but plan on moving to the North of Thailand in the future.
One of the things we are working hard at is to have Aran (forrest in Thai) learn both languages and at 28 months he can count to 10 in both languages but with a bit of help. We also have a lot of teaching aids from Thailand to help with his dual language skills. While Mighty Machines, Cars, Bob the Builder and Elmo are his staple on TV he really enjoys Gor-Gai Cor-Cai (Thai ABC’s) and the Thai vocabulary CD’s we have. He also likes Thai music, especially music videos.
